Artistic Legacy

Gordon Huppi Exhibit

During the month of March the Brewster Cultural Council honored the late artist Gordon Huppi, father of Titcomb’s bookseller Karen Vail. He painted Cape Cod landscapes with acrylics, oils, and watercolors. A love for creating art runs in Karen’s family. When Wendy Williams, author of Kraken: The Curious, Exciting, and Slightly Disturbing Science of Squid visited the shop, Karen made a squid necklace out of polymer clay. Wendy liked it so much, she took it home with her!

Also-My father’s father was a great painter, my older sister is an art teacher and artist, my younger sister does beautiful painted furniture, and my daughter is an accomplished artist-it’s all in the family….
